Field Assistant (WASH) Working under the overall supervision of the WASH Officer and the direct supervision of the Program Assistant (WASH), the Field Assistant (WASH) will support the implementation of NGOs humanitarian assistance directly in the field.
Experience:
- The emergency WASH might include water trucking, rehabilitation of water systems/points, HFs at community/institutional level, WASH NFI distribution, Water quality issues etc.
- Experience of and commitment to work through systems of community participation and accountability
- Proven ability to work as part of a team
- Strong understanding of water, sanitation and hygiene situation in the community
- Supervise the activities of water quality sites, in terms of:
- follow-up of the activity
- respect by the contractor of the contracted specifications, budget and working plans
- compliance with local, donors.
- respect of the norms regarding the quality of the construction materials, with a special attention to WASH project (Wells improvement, Pumping test, chock chlorine, WHO standards)
- respect of the security measures
